Seoul Gangbuk Circle is an important area in Seoul, South Korea, located in the northeast and northwest of Seoul. Historical background and current situation
In the past, the Gangbuk area was considered a "sleeping city" with a large number of old residential and commercial facilities, and its regional GDP ranked lower among various regions in Seoul. However, in recent years, Seoul has launched the "Jiangbei Circle Great Renovation" project, aiming to transform it into an economic new city centered on employment. By renovating old residential and commercial areas, introducing high-tech and creative industries, it promotes economic development and employment growth.
Renovation Plan and Future Development
The renovation project includes relaxing restrictions on the redevelopment and reconstruction of residential areas, accelerating the renovation of old residential areas, and it is expected that about 127 residential areas and 100000 households will start renovation projects in the short term. In addition, the scale of the commercial district in the Jiangbei area will be expanded to 2-3 times its current size, attracting high-tech and creative industries, creating a large number of job opportunities, and promoting economic development.
