The Republic of Serbia is located in southeastern Europe, in the central part of the Balkan Peninsula, and is a landlocked country. The capital is Belgrade, the official language is Serbian, and the main religion is Eastern Orthodox.


Serbia has an area of 88500 square kilometers and a population of approximately 8.41 million. The country borders Montenegro, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Croatia, Hungary, Romania, Bulgaria, North Macedonia, and Albania, with one-fifth of the Danube River flowing through its territory.
